Chat with Louriza Tronco (GRACE)

The following is the fifth in a series of interviews conducted by our young social media journalist (& fan) Lilah with the cast of SPIRAL. This one is with Louriza Tronco (who plays GRACE).

What is the best thing about being an actress?

Louriza feels that acting really opens your eyes to see different people, personalities, stories and ways of living.

Do you find memorizing lines hard or easy?

Memorizing lines isn’t easy, and Louriza sometimes forgets her lines during a scene. Of that happens, she starts to lose confidence and it’s like a domino effect, one line goes after the other! But, to avoid that, you always have to be 100% invested in the scene. You have to be thinking and acting like the character you’re playing.

Which character are you most like in Spiral?

Louriza feels she’s most like Alex and Grace.

What is your favourite thing about Spiral?

The cast! Louriza says they’ve all really bonded and have stayed friends even after shooting.

What are your hobbies?

In her spare time, Louriza likes to hike and cook.

How was your experience of shooting in Victoria?

Louriza went to school in Victoria, and loves it. It’s got a great small town vibe, but it’s still a pretty big city. She loved shooting Spiral there because it was her favourite things combined: University and Victoria, and acting!

Dogs or cats?

Louriza is allergic to cats, so… Dogs! Especially French Bulldogs.

What is your worst fear? Do you have one?

Louriza’s worst fear is heights.

What is your favourite TV show/movie?

Louriza loves Whiplash, Charlie’s Angels, Schitts Creek, and Baby Driver.

What is your favourite book?

Louriza says she could not put down The Girl on the the Train. She would get home from shooting, read The Girl on the the Train until 2:30am, and then get up at 5:30am to go to set!

What is your favourite food?

If Louriza could eat one type of food for the rest of her life, it would be Italian.
